Dreamweaver Website Project

This project is a culmination of everything we have done this year in Tech class.

Your website, accessible through the Bryn Mawr Intranet, will show off work that you've done in your academic classes using technology and will provide information about yourself and your interests as well as scholastic resources for upcoming 7th graders.

You will use skills that you've acquired this year, including the following:

  • Proper use of online resources
  • Working with different file types
  • Scanning
  • Manipulating images in Photoshop
  • Preparing your movie projects for viewing on the Web
  • Learning how to create a website using Dreamweaver, a professional web design software!

There are three components to this project.

  1. Personal - A few things about yourself that you wouldn't mind the Bryn Mawr community reading. You can bring in photographs of family, pets, and friends to add to the text. You can email or save digital images to disk, or bring in print images to scan.
  2. Portfolio - Highlight at least two projects/assignments that you have completed during this school year. They should involve some kind of technology, either having been created as part of Tech class, using technology within another academic class, or using technology to get them there (like scanning in drawing from Art class).
  3. Resources - Links to websites that you find helpful for your academic classes. They can be sites that you have used in class directed by your teacher or ones that you go to for help and ideas. If you haven't done online research in a particular subject, look for websites that you find inspiring, such as a site about Impressionism for Art class or a great dance company for Dance/PE. You should have three per subject. These will be very helpful for next year's 7th grade class, so make sure that the sites you choose are meaningful to you.
