8th Grade has the exciting opportunity this year to participate in a filmmaking class, taught from a technical perspective. This technology class will focus not only on shot setup, lighting considerations, camera work, and editing techniques, but also will cover the essentials of creating any film. The class provides instruction on film genre, character development, story arc, script writing and storyboarding; these elements are all addressed to provide a foundation for the hands-on filmmaking students will engage in. This course partners with 8th Grade Art for a special project on advertising.

This is a graded course and assignments are necessary to keep on task with class projects.
Please check this site, along with the course Moodle site, for the syllabus and all relevant handouts. Some assignments will be turned in electronically through Moodle.

Storyboard Template: Save this template. Either type lines of dialogue, then print to draw in sketches of scenes, or just print it out and do it all by hand.
