General information about the Irish Language, or Gaelic

Did you know that in addition to English, many Irish people speak a language called Gaelic, or Irish? There are parts of Ireland, like Donegal, Inismór and the Dingle peninsula, which are called Gaeltacht regions: areas where many people make an extra effort to speak in Gaelic as much as possible, in order to keep the language from dying out.
